“I just wanted to follow up and Thank everyone again for truly giving me the “Hunt of a Lifetime” as advertised!! It was an amazing hunting experience. My guide, Clint, was exceptional in providing me and my wife the most outstanding Elk hunting adventure! As a result of his and all of the guides at JMR, I harvested exactly the animal I wanted.
It was incredible to observe how these professional guides came together to assist one another as each hunter harvested his animal. They are all to be congratulated!
I would also like to truly thank Rhonda and Suzanne for their magnificent culinary skills in preparing fabulous meals every day. Also, their courtesy and concern as they took care of Connie in the lodge, as she was a non-hunting spouse, is truly appreciated.
Lastly, the Lodge itself was absolutely 5 STAR!! I would recommend JMR to anyone interested in the finest of Elk hunting experiences.
Connie and I came to you as clients and we left as friends!! Thanks again to everyone.”
“I just wanted to send you a note to express what a wonderful time Mark and I had this week at Juniper Mountain Lodge. We were excited to bring home so much Elk! But, what made our stay exceptional was your staff. My son Mark and I have stayed at various hunting lodges in and out of the country. The common denominator was excellent hunting, but what made the stay exceptional in each case was the interaction with staff. I was truly humbled and grateful for the concern both cooks showed me regarding my diet. Regrettably, I forgot their names, although like Jeff and Tyson they were both exceptional. Thank you and your staff for the memories my son and I will enjoy.”

“It is a pleasure for me to post a review of Juniper Mountain Ranch; where my wife and I had a wonderful time and an exciting hunt. The Lodge is a lovely place like one would picture a Hunting Lodge with mounts of trophy Elk and Deer. It is clean and an enjoyable place to relax and relish the out-of-doors on an actual working livestock ranch.
The staff of Juniper Mt. Ranch is dedicated to ensure your visit is an excellent experience. The meals were very delicious and there was always plenty. They will cater to your special dietary requirement if necessary. The “Lady Cooks” were very pleasant and provided home prepared meals served with a flair daily. Dining in the Lodge provides the opportunity to make and meet new friends and at the dining table a special camaraderie among fellow sportsmen and hunters is thrilling.
Hunting at Juniper Mt. Ranch is exciting. The guides were grand, ensuring our safety and dedicated to providing an excellent hunting experience, additionally they are most helpful and pleasant to spend the day with. They are professional when taking you out to hunt and provide assistance with your hunt but also take special care of your bagged animal & trophy. If you wish, there is a butcher in town that will cut, vacuum-packed and freeze the meat. The guides do all the work, field dress quickly, skinning and transporting your animal to the packer; and by the way is reasonably priced per pound. The guides will assist you with other activities once you have bagged your elk or bison. The Juniper Mt. Ranch is located such that if you wanted to take a long day trip to Yellowstone or The Grand Teton National Parks they are within driving distance, as is I believe the National Elk Refuge at Jackson Wyoming.
Juniper Mountain LLC is an off shoot of Siddoway Sheep Company, a well managed working sheep ranch that has been in business since 1895. Both ranches comply with the required environmental regulations, game laws of both the State of Idaho and US Government. The elk and bison are managed in accordance with various laws; the elk are tagged by statute.
Non hunters are welcome, my wife went with me and she enjoyed the ranch, lodge, staff and the excitement of other hunters; she is an experienced hunter herself and has bagged Roosevelt Elk and deer in our home State of Washington, as well as antelope in Wyoming.
My wife and I both wish to extend a special thanks to the “Lady Cooks” to Mike, the Manager and Robert our Guide for welcoming us and for providing an outstanding track afield to see trophy animals and to bag a healthy and mature bull.
We were very pleased with not only the hunting experience but also the Bison has been delectable dining for our family and friends; we have booked another hunt at Juniper Mountain Ranch in 2017.

“I just want to let you know how absolutely pleased we are with your lodge and operation. I personally go on 3 outfitted hunts and 3 DIY hunts per year (for the last 10years at least) and I can honestly say that your group of staff, lodge and hunting experience is the best that I’ve had the pleasure to experience. The guys are very laid back and fun in addition to very hard working, all the components to an excellent experience. I will not be hunting Elk anywhere else but your place from now on, as long as there is availability of course.”

“Juniper Ranch is an AWESOME place as are the surrounding areas. The geography is magnificent if you enjoy cascading mountains and never ending flat lands. The people were very hospitable and everyone made us feel welcomed. The hunting was beyond my expectations, as our guide John made it a once in a life-time experience. I was so pleased with my cow Elk hunt, I am definitely planning a return trip if John and Cindy will have us. Thank you so much for the privilege to have met you all and the wonderful hunt we both enjoyed.
P.S. John is just a plain old GREAT guy! I would recommend him to anyone that prefers a cowboy mentality with the wisdom and experience he offers!”

“If we had sat down and scripted the hunt the way we wanted it to go, it couldn’t have gone more perfectly! The accommodations were first-class, the food…out of this world (thank you Rhonda and Marylou), our guide, Robert, very knowledgeable and open to answer any of our questions. He’s a very likable and personable guy and an absolutely tireless worker. Robert got us within 200 yards of the Bison herd and Toby and I were able to each make a one shot kill. I’ve attached pictures of my and Toby’s (just a kid…at 72) Bison. Thanks once again for the incredible hunting experience, and I wouldn’t be surprised if you saw us in the future looking to take a management elk or another Bison.
God Bless and take care!”

“I was cleaning out my email and came across your Christmas card and remembered that I did not thank you for my elk hunt this fall. You guys run a first class operation and I would give anybody a great recommendation if you need it…here is a nice picture of the elk I got with my bow….I sure hope to get the chance to do it again! Thank you so much!”
